Congress is back in action, and that means school board members from across the nation are heading to town soon for NSBA’s 32nd Annual Federal Relations Network (FRN) Conference. The conference kicks off this Sunday, Jan. 30, and runs through Tuesday, Feb. 1. This year’s programming will include No Child Left Behind, education funding, updates on the reauthorized IDEA, E-Rate, vouchers, and more. School board members also will hear from leading senators and members of Congress. More details on the conference can be found here. Attendees must either be appointed by their state school boards association or be a member from a Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE) district. BoardBuzz will have more on FRN in the days ahead.
